Birthday gifts!

Living in a hostel got me out of the habit of receiving gifts on my birthday. First couple of years out of the hostel were not very different. I was surprised, pleasantly, therefore at getting some this year, even though none were from my wishlist. Here's a list:

1. The Simoquin Prophecies - By Samit Basu
   Samit Basu is the author, not the one who gave me the gift. This one came with a great intent behind it, to get me reading again, and albeit slow, it has worked.

   I was allowed to pick a gift and picked this, even though the gift-er found it ugly. Don't know if it was a birthday gift or general.
