In Hyding...

More than a month ago, Erimentha tagged me to name five things to do in my cities (not typical touristy stuff!), and then try to get five others to do the same.
Now, I've been in this city for close to three years and being the Barista loving person I am, I hardly do any touristy or non-touristy stuff. I live in a concrete jungle and engage in activities which would fall neatly under the category of western influence corrupting our generation and making it lethargic. However, I shall try...
- Grilled Chicken at Dine Hill: The number of times we've been to this dingy source of the most succulent delight far surpasses any other eating place.
- Go to Alhamdullah at 3 in the night for biryani. Observe the buzz of activity that the place is even at that hour of the night.
- At about the same time of the night, go to Mumtaz College, looking for bhoots.
Note: If you are stopped by the cops, just tell them what you were there for, looking for ghosts. They'll very probably be so amused, they'll let you go. (Tried and tested :)) - At about 5 in the morning, get Irani Coffee at Diamond Cafe.
- Pick up a beer at Kondapur Wine Spot and drive around. (Really, you can't do this in Delhi.)
- Get out of the city..... it doesn't have enough non-touristy stuff to do ( as can be gauged from my limited success at listing these things).

Its amazing that I have never been to any of the places you have mentioned. And I thought I got to know Hyd in the last 10 months!!!
ha ha dude..Mumtaz did show us bhoot in khakhi..what a great trip and thanks the thought makes me laugh...and the other right into the point..u missing tea near hi-tech..idli near yusufguda,noodils saar near banjara and kebabs near HSBC (this is for foodies)
@piya: Well, it's only fair that you tell me some of those places you know since you know some of mine. Also, since I've over-exploited some of mine.
@deepthi: Chai near Hi-tech is fun only as a last resort. If you've been there lately, you'll know what I mean. There's just too many cabs!!!
And I haven't been to the others. Please give details.
Mumtaz Bhoot trip and Alamdullah are at the top of my list. Simply amazing experiences :)
Also, one more thing that i did often
Take food, and Daru and hit the rocks near Hitech City, Simply amazing to get drunk, and watch the stars if its a good clear night, from atop huge rocks.
dude .. you have hurt my feelings .. where do the errands to Kakatiya rank? Or have you stopped them?
As much as I still enjoy staying up through the night at the coffee shop (was there 2 days ago), I didn't think it was in the same vein as the others and also not in keeping with the spirit of the question.
Also, I don't get much company for that these days, being surrounded by married people and people who're aging too soon ;)
