A frivolous way of referring to any being it is, but the article above captures the essence (bare minimum, though) of the life of Adwaitya, the oldest known tortoise who passed away on Wednesday at an estimated age of 250 years, a quarter of a millenium.

Every time someone tells me I've got a long life, I think in terms of 70-80 and wonder what I'll do with so much time, but this dude spent over two centuries and was an entertainer till the last of his days at the Alipore Zoo in Kolkata. I salute thee!
