An evening with the guys!
Well, the title might apply to pretty much any evening in the past few months. However, there seemed to be a something special in the air today. After a more than usually hectic week, and the promise of busier times to come, this weekend takes on a little more importance than the average one. Plus, it's after a long time that I've been in the city for a stretch of over two weeks (you wants to read about my travels?)
It started out with a suggestion by a colleague (and friend and my partner in the crime of Age of Empires) to do some beers (for any women reading this, this has nothing to do with diamonds). I had already made a dinner commitment to another friend for half an hour later, so the course of action was decided. Pick up some pints on the way and drink in the car. Now, before all you proponents of "Don't drink and drive" get on my case, I'd like to state that two pints over the course of an hour do not elevate your blood alcohol level to 0.05% which is the minimum safe limit across the world.
The idea of hitting a dhaba on the outskirts of the city was proposed, almost taken into effect, and then discarded for lack of said dhabas in this part of the country and for lack of enthusiasm to explore on the part of certain people in the group, for which they got a lot of shit from the rest of us and will continue to for the foreseeable future.
However, the purpose that this outing served, was to reassure me that I'm still capable of having fun, that I have not moved from college life to middle age, bypassing the prime of my youth even though I can often be heard saying "Need .. to.. get.. life" in my best zombie impersonation.
Have to catch Being Cyrus today. Have heard it's an interesting movie even though Mr. Khan has been acting extremely stuck up lately as I was informed by the Monk.

Inspite of whatever I said about Mr Khan, the movie is pretty neat. The one thing I appreciated about him in the movie was that he is capable of putting behind his newly found arrogance for the sake of the role he is doing, unlike Mr SRK.
